Sing With Me Karaoke Machine

The system also comes with four of its own tapes:

• Male Artists (i.e. Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Brian McKnight)
• Party Hits (i.e. The Beatles, Sister Sledge, Sonny and Cher)
• Your Songs (a blank tape to record your own performances)

The Barbie Sing With Me Karaoke Machine is a durable toy that rates high in consumer reviews. It comes with an auxiliary wire that connects the tape player to a CD player. Barbie Karaoke Guitar

If your little one idolizes all the rocker girls who wail away on their own guitars you might want to get her the Barbie Karaoke Guitar rather than the ‘Sing With Me’ Machine. While it’s a toy and not a kid sized musical instrument, the buttons on the neck will allow your rocker to produce her own guitar sounds as she sings all her favorite songs.

There are four settings to the Barbie Karaoke Guitar: Karaoke, “jammin,’” “guitar” and “strummin’”. The Karaoke setting plays one of three available songs, but you can also buy song cartridges to expand the repertoire. The “jammin’” option lets kids strum the strings while sound effects (like Barbie cheering you on!) back up their performance. “Guitar” is similar to “jammin’” just without the background noises. If you’re “strummin’” each button will play a different guitar rift against a beat.

A headset microphone is included that can be used with the Karaoke mode or just to sing your own lyrics as you jam away on the guitar. There are separate volume controls for both the guitar and the microphone so that vocals can be heard clearly. Future music moguls can even alter the sound of the guitar with a whammy bar and an echo button.
